I am a devoted reservationist who takes satisfaction in giving each and every guest outstanding service. I am studying tourism and events management at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, United Kingdom.

I gained significant skills in the hotel industry while working as a team leader at FIPOLA PVT.LTD in Hyderabad, India, by successfully resolving customer concerns and seeing an increase in customer loyalty as a result. Also, I spent enough time working at Starbucks to earn my second-highest level barista certification, showcasing my proficiency in managing busy periods of time.

I gained priceless experience in the hospitality sector working in continental cooking, overseeing inventory, and working as a barback at the Radisson Blu in Jammu & Kashmir. I am dedicated to providing guests with excellent service and ensuring their satisfaction by putting a strong focus on teamwork and communication. I am grateful that you took the time to read my CV.

Activity 1

The Professional Identity Exercise gave me a chance to look at my core values, the influences that have influenced them, and the actions that have followed. Being punctual is crucial in all facets of life, and I really believe this to be true. I am committed to this idea because I believe that doing so shows that I am serious and capable.

The same is true for creativity, which I strongly respect because it is where all original ideas come from. My preference for innovative thought is motivated by how crucial it is for a business's development.

I also understand the need to take responsibility, get along well with people, show respect for others, and maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. This presented a wonderful opportunity for me to consider my ethical standards, both personal and professional, and the importance of always operating in line with them.

Activity 2

It was an insightful method for me to evaluate the worth of my numerous social media profiles to take part in the Online App and Media Platform Audit. For instance, I have discovered Facebook to be a helpful tool for creating and keeping professional relationships with coworkers. Instagram, on the other hand, is a social media platform

I use for personal reasons since it makes it simple for me to share pictures and updates with my loved ones. LinkedIn, however, has been a crucial tool for growing my professional network.

I also use the website Indeed during job hunting. I have decided that I do not need Snapchat anymore; thus, I have removed the app. This exercise enabled me to take a close look at my digital footprint and assess the value that each platform adds to my professional and personal objectives.

Activity 3

I gained a better understanding of my posting habits and types thanks to the Online Professional Presence job. Indeed is the professional network I use the least frequently to hunt for a job, but LinkedIn is the one I frequent the most for news and connections with others in my sector.

My personal social media accounts are where I most frequently post updates and communicate with friends and family, despite the fact that I only sometimes use them.

I have been able to better align my approach with my personal and professional goals by taking an inventory of my online behaviours and using that information to better understand how I use different online platforms.

I am certain that I possess the skills that potential employers are looking for, including dependability, promptness, initiative, curiosity, openness to criticism, responsibility, collaboration, flexibility, and respect.

My time spent working as a barista at Starbucks, where I obtained a barista level 2 certification and increased productivity via excellent coffee preparation and evaluation, further strengthened my professional qualifications.

Overall, I am grateful for the material delivered in the second core session since it has given me the knowledge and abilities I need to network effectively and write a "Killer CV." I am excited to use what I have learnt in this session in my job searches in the future, and I have no doubt that doing so will open up the door to a successful professional future.

Core Session 3

I find the difference between cognitive and non-cognitive skills to be fascinating. I can speak to the usefulness of both types of skills because I wish to work in the hospitality industry. My cognitive abilities help me process and analyse information, while my non-cognitive skills let me engage with guests more skillfully.

During my stay at the Radisson Blu industrial setting, I learnt a lot about the importance of cognitive skills like problem-solving and critical thinking. On the other hand, my time spent working at Starbucks made me aware of the importance of non-cognitive skills like communication and teamwork in providing our customers with exceptional service and a welcoming environment.

In addition, I gained a lot of knowledge from the article on Indeed.com on the necessity of always developing one's cognitive abilities in order to remain competitive in the job market. Reading about non-cognitive skills also made me aware of the need to develop a growth mindset and preserve emotional intelligence, both of which are necessary for success in my chosen career.

Today's contemporary offices are attracting workers from all walks of life. Making the workplace a welcoming and secure environment for everyone depends on having a solid awareness of cultural differences (Hopkins and Scott, 2016).

Understanding individual differences is only half of the cultural diversity; the other half is embracing those differences and making the most of them (Evans and Suklun, 2017).

Having academic history in both catering and hotel administration, I am aware of the need to host visitors from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of working with people from a broad array of cultural backgrounds, both in my prior professional experience at Radisson Blu and in my present role as a team leader at FIPOLA Pvt. Ltd.

Also, I do not mind taking reasonable risks, and I see adaptability as one of my best qualities.

Also, I am aware that an imaginative and creative mindset is essential to an entrepreneur's success (Hinvest, Fairchild, and Elkhoy, 2018). To that end, I actively seek out and welcome opportunities to collaborate with others to create fresh solutions to age-old problems.

In addition, I have a strong background in various entrepreneurship-related fields, such as marketing, finance, and operations, all of which are crucial for the creation and implementation of original ideas. I intend to use these skills to start and expand successful enterprises in the future.

I have collaborated with managers, team leaders, and even baristas in my role as a customer service representative. These experiences have taught me the value of making friends, paying attention while people are talking, and understanding perspectives other than my own.

Effective collaborative leadership requires an awareness of one's own capabilities and limits (Xu et al., 2022). I have found that in this regard, my interpersonal and communication abilities are among my best suit, enabling me to swiftly and readily connect with clients and coworkers.

As a result of my work as a professional hostess, I have come to identify this commitment to guests' happiness with my own.
